I love Twitter, I think it is my favorite social media site. If you have a twitter account, you can follow me at http://www.twitter.com/rockityroll I tweet about all kinds of things - home and library, what I'm reading, funny things my son does, etc. I also have a lot of back-and-forth conversations with people I follow. All four of my siblings, my husband, and several of my good friends are on Twitter, so we broadcast our thoughts and chat back and forth. It's nice because even if I don't see my brother for a month, I have a general sense of what's going on in his life. When we talk or get together, we don't have to play catch-up - we can just plunge right into the heart of the matter.

I've also made friends on Twitter - many library types follow each other, and as I read their tweets, I may respond to them with a funny comment or additional information. When I was in Denver for the American Library Association meeting, we had a "tweet-up" with 5 twitterers that have gotten to know each other online. It was great to see each other in person!
